3D television technology
When we talk about technology we are not only referring to internet, we have to make this clear, since most of people relate this feature with websites or similar platforms. But we state, that technology is a large concept and we can find inside, images, communication means, multimedia and more. 3D television technology is now the biggest star of multimedia appliances, why?, just because these devices are capable of simulate real action from the screens in such a way, we could feel ourselves inside the monitor. Many of our readers might wonder how all this came up or how do these 3D television work?. We have already mentioned, in other articles, the main aspects of these appliances: 3D television technology emulates human vision but in a special way, with the aim of transforming images and providing the unique sensation of living the content that is being displayed.
During 2007, some multimedia engineers, decided to take a step ahead in the television world, the most important progress took place by the end of last millennium, where we could buy flat screens. The image was sharper and we could observe a significant improvement in the image definition; of course, as all new and technological products, the cost was astronomic, but as time went by, it decreased and became a good option for middle-class society. Now they decided to work in 3D television technology; the idea was to please the customer providing with features that ordinary and regular tvs couldn’t achieve: not only high definition, but also realism. Today we can observe 3D television technology in some appliances, but unfortunately we can find them only in Europe, and in United Estates.
Latinoamerica is still waiting to get the first prototypes and experts believe they will arrive next year; meanwhile we must entertain ourselves using 3D glasses. The idea of 3D televisions faces its major risk: the price, we estimate that the cost of these devices won’t be under usd$ 4.000 (referring to the smallest tv), so, only wealthy customers will have the chance to buy the first ones. Another big change that engineers are preparing, related to 3D television technology, is the holographic tv, both platforms are similar but the second, still needs more time to get solid results. With all these examples, we are just trying to introduce our readers into a different and more interactive world that is around the corner.
3D televisions technology Vs Holographic TVs
As we have already mentioned in the previous paragraph, the latest innovation is not only focused on 3D television technology, since although it seems to be the greatest invention of the century, multimedia has prepared much more for us. Holographic television is now the future of tvs, but at the same time we should say its development is still in process so, this type of television can’t be sold or rent, at least for now. The big question is: is 3D television technology much better than holographic?; the answer is not quite simple, not only because it’s is difficult to compare two different platforms, but also, because both technologies are still in progress so it’s hard to find prototypes to come to a conclusion.
Of course, we have fans of these two types of tvs: 3D fans assure that it is impossible to observer every detail of an entire scene in an hologram, meanwhile, we have those individuals who affirm, that holograms represent a better reality, and the system is also capable of reproducing images in real size. How does the holographic television work?, the best example we can provide is a soccer game: customers would we watching television, which by that time will be a coffee table, and observe the players represented in holograms moving, and playing over this device- table.
Although what we are describing seems 3D television technology, this platform includes some special features such as holograms, and that is what makes the system different. The argument about the most convenient appliance will be endless, mainly because any of them is not officially out yet; our modest opinion says that customers will always choose the one that pleases their needs and provides the best entertainment. We advise our readers to be patient and start saving up for the future, perhaps the best 3D television technology won’t be the one we will see next year, since new models always present some inconvenients and need to be improved. By 2011, the market will provide more options and quality in these products, we do not have to forget about the guarantee, these devices are expensive and its service could cost a big amount of money. For now, we will have to enjoy our 2d televisions until we can obtain the best 3D image technology; but the near future will provide us with thousands of surprises, be prepared. |
